Notes

We now dance on the second and forth Fridays of each month from September to May
  • at the Royal Oak Hall on West Saanich Road [See Map Below]

Lessons/Classes:
  • Lessons (2023-2024 Classes by Saanich Squares) starting in September

Dances:
  • Joint Mavericks and Country Cousins dances!
  • Please bring your own water bottle
  • Masks are recommended but not required

Flooring and Footwear:
The ROWI Hall has 2000 square feet of red oak hardwood flooring. With the natural give of the floor it is the perfect surface for dancing and exercise classes.
  • To protect this floor we ask that people, if possible, change into indoor shoes before entering the main Hall area. If this is not possible then shoe treads must be checked for rocks and to ensure they are clean.
  • Stilettos, high heels or tap shoes are strictly forbidden as they damage the finish and underlying wood.

Mavericks Photography Policy

  • No flash photography!
  • All photographs and videos of people are by explicit agreement with a photographer:
    • If you would like your photo taken, either individually or in a group, talk to the photographer about having it taken in the designated area.
    • If a full square of dancers want action shots, pre-arrange to have them taken at the back of the hall so other dancers aren’t included by accident.

No Scents, Please!

Please be kind and come to our events scent free!
